  • Born in Bandra's Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai, India.
  • Aamir Khan belonged to family of Indian freedom fighter Abul Kalam Azad.He is also a descendant of former President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain and a second cousin to former Chairperson of Rajya Sabha, Dr Najma Heptullah.
  • His father, Tahir Hussain, died on Feb 3, 2010.
  • While he was in school and had became a state tennis champion for Maharashtra.
  • Amir fell in love with the girl next door in the meantime. He proposed to her the day he turned 21, and she accepted. But apparently, there was opposition since she was from a Hindu family and he, from a devout Islamic one. So, they eloped, got married and returned to their homes. Later they revealed it to the world after his debut movie as lead "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak".
